week 4 - week 5
WEEK 4: got many days of cramps but no period, so I decided to take a home pregnancy test (wed sept 30), came out positive. Then went in for a blood hcg test on that day and then 2 days later. Both came back with promising results.
Told hubby the news on friday (oct 2), I made him a gift box with a photo of the pregnancy test, blood test report and a new-daddy book. He cried. We went to have dinner at Nemea greek cuisine.
This week I had insomnia and anxiety for the first few days, followed by sleepiness for all the other days after. Very bloated.
WEEK 5: looking constantly on my Glow Nurture app. Looking up the options between a hospital birth or home with midwife, scheduling different appointments. Reading obsessively about what I can or cannot eat, do or cannot do....etc.
Went to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, so I can eat healthy. But only to face a lost of appetite due to fatigue and aversion towards most food. Thirsty a lot.
Body temperature started to raise in the evening for the last few days. Night of W5D4 I got so hot it felt like a fever.
Also started having heartburns that last most of the day, pretty much starting at lunch, everything I ate gave me heartburn till I go to sleep. Just want soup or a cold fruit/veg smoothie most of the time. Bloating is on and off, when it's on it's really bad, when it's off it's still on, just a bit less.
Very low energy this week. A few days ago I was at the gym, what usually is easy for me on the treadmill got more taxing, heart beating fast after 15 seconds, and sweating more than usual.
Experienced random join pains. Lower back felt very unstable and weak.

Earlier this week I was really stressed out over a phone call with my mother. Not sure how to address this yet. She is a huge source of stress for me. I don't particularly look forward to telling her the news as she's a very high strung person, and I'm trying to manage stress during pregnancy.
